about

I always thought writing a love song was the hardest kind of tune to write because it's been done so many times and so many ways before. This is my first attempt…

I want to take some space on this page to thank Paul, Molly, Greg, Chris and Dwayne for being such a major part of this music and special thanks to Ray Weston for lending me the Ripper bass.

Track Name: Kisses in the Sun
"Oranges and lemons say the bells of Saint Clemons"
Do you remember?
I think I've forgotten, I learned it when I was young in the school yard

When paper hearts were cut and passed like secrets
And blushing faces couldn't lie
When sweetheart candies and sunlit daisies
Were given like first kisses in the sun

"You owe me three farthings say the bells of Saint Martins"
Do you remember?
I think I've forgotten, I learned It when I was young in the school yard

Now we've grown up beautiful, beautiful and damned
Time won't wait for us to be born again
And the world grows bigger, bigger than you or I
Track Name: Mister Greenlight
Where are you, Mister Greenlight
One more mile, one more mile
Only you, can write this song
Make me smile, make me smile
Maybe you should say hello
It's not wrong, it's not wrong
If you must wait for someone
Don't be long, don't be long

Do you still know the way to my sunshine, my lovely yellow sunshine
I know you can help me with all my long days and all the words I can never find

I regret waiting so long
The light is almost gone
Where are you Mister Greenlight
One more mile, one more mile
Visit me without calling
Come to me for awhile
Visit me in the morning
Make me smile, make me smile

Hey, look up on the rooftop
Six birds on a wire
lucky me feeding the fire
trying to go higher

Where are you Mister Greenlight
Make me smile, make me smile
Track Name: All The Rage
Your so fame, your so flame
Your so familiar, walk the runway again
One in six billion they say

Your front page, your main stage
A rocket ship racing
And everyone's watching you
Speeding right out of the blue
All the rage

You're the word that's got the attention
You're the scene that's lit up like a billboard
Image is burned in your eyes
Attraction is bright in your eyes

You're the call at a crowded station
You're the heart of a whole generation
A shape in a limousine
A pose on a magazine
All the rage

And then there's you
And you would give
More than most would care or show or do
But no one applauds for you
All the rage
Track Name: So it Goes
I felt that everlasting feeling leave her
I turned away at first not believing
And then it came on like a ton of heavy weather
Bursting my countenance like an air raid

She doesn't care about my city of gold
She doesn't know my heaven
She won't sleep in my buildings of precious stones
She doesn't know my heaven

She left at night on a plane
Going south to find Jesus
I left in the morning going west to Vegas
Hoping to see the King
So it goes, love is wasted on lovers
Like Rock and Roll is wasted on youth
You know you only miss them when they're gone

There's nothing more friendless
Than this town without you
All these lights are pale without you
There's nothing longer than my nights without you
Every hour drags on forever
Track Name: When I Dream
I didn't hear what you told me
I didn't hear what you said
I fell asleep while you were talking
I fell asleep last night in bed

In my dreams you said you love me
In my dreams you said you care
In my dreams you stood beside me
And let them think we were a pair

What did you say
While I was sleeping
What did you say
While my eyes were shut
Did you tell me that you loved me
Or did I dream the whole thing up

I can't believe I didn't hear you
I can't believe I fell asleep
I think of you while I'm dreaming
Because of you I want to sleep

What did you say
While I was sleeping
What did you say
While my eyes were shut
Did you tell me that you loved me
Or did I dream the whole thing up

That is why I didn't hear you
Or know exactly what you said
I fell asleep because I love you

When I dream, I dream of you
Track Name: Main Street
She stepped right out in the middle
and crossed in front of me
She looked my way as I drove close
She was all I could see

She was all that I had wanted
She's everything to me
The lights are changing on main street
They are changing for me

Yellow, red and green on the most popular street in town
Li Li Li Li
I love her now
Li Li Li Li
I love her now

She stopped my heart and I knew then
That I would have to try
Because my life would never be
Complete if I drove by

She waited for me to slow down
I did and she jumped in
She laughed with me as I drove
away from where we'd been

Racing the changing lights and the films between the holidays
She was the one who could make me feel that I'm alright...
I'm alright
Track Name: 15 Hours
I broke my back working for my baby
I broke my back working for my girl
15 hours swinging a hammer
15 hours working for my girl

I dug a hole working for my baby
I dug a hole working for my rent
15 hours swinging a hammer
15 hours wondering where it went

Hey, I'm not free
when do I start to work for me
when do I work for me

My money isn't big enough to go all the way around
I think I owe each and every dog in the community pound
When do I work for me

I cut my hair working for your money
I cut my hair working for your gain
15 hours selling a contract
15 hours working for my chain
Track Name: Change
I called to talk
Talk is the one thing we do quite well
How was your day, mine was insane
Hey anyway, what do you say we meet at eight
You say, "I'll stop on home to change"

Look at you, you are so beautiful
That shade of blue has never looked so fine before
And anymore, you are the rock that keeps it's form
When everything else has changed

Once, I just knew for sure
Exactly what time was for
But I'm not there more and more
Now back and forth I've spun
Between thinking it's all been done
And hoping it's just begun

We made it through
Making it through is one thing we do quite well
I ask you Love
If you could change one little thing
What would it be?
You say "I know, I wouldn't change a thing"
Yes I agree, I do, why would we change a thing
Track Name: Come On Joe
It's all over, it's all done
It's all over, it's all done
Our work is over, it's all done
Come on, Joe, it's time to run

Last one to leave sweeps up the floor
Last one to leave locks up the door

I heard the horn, we can go
I heard the horn, we can go
We've got our money, we can go
The girls are waiting, come on, Joe

Put down your broom
We can't be late
I can't believe
It's nearly eight
Last one to leave sweeps up the floor
Last one to leave locks up the door

I can drive, If you can steer
We need to get right out of here
Tell the boss to send for Joe
Hurry, hurry, it's time to go
Track Name: Sometimes Love Forgets
It's said that love belongs to hearts that have been broken
And mine's split in two
Our love became a routine
Cold as repetition that wears on you

I think that sometime somewhere
We just forgot to say hello
To be polite, to kiss goodnight
Love can hope but sometimes love forgets

We were banks and babies
We were nervous maybes
We were young
We were drives and movies
We were chores and duties
We were young

It's the little things I miss most
Would you agree?
We never think of them till they're lost and gone
Love endures but sometimes love forgets

We were kisses in the sun
We were wonderful and beautiful
We'd be different from everyone
We were promises that would only be broken
Only forgotten in the end
Track Name: Untitled
Sorry for the time I took from you
I don't mean to hurt you
I can't get the hardness from my heart
Heaven knows I wish I could

There's and underlying corruption
Going on and coming down
Weighing down on my heart
Like a devil on a rooftop
Dancing from dusk till sunup
Always clicking his heels

Like a cramp in a swim hole
Like a draft through a window
Like a twitch on a calm face
Something's not right

There's a piece of mirror in my eye
The world is all distorted now
I loved you as a child
But all I've felt has been twisted and forgotten now

I've got to leave and go away for now
I can't remember why I've stayed
You don't know anything but love
And I hate that I love you less
Track Name: I Wont Say Goodbye
Tonight, let's forget what we've become
And be who we were...
Lovers that shared commonness
That brought and bound us together
It's sad how our time has passed by
And slipped away
I'm not ready to lose you
I'll never be ready to lose you

For now we'll get by on what we remember
Tonight you won't be tired and tried
We'll take up tomorrow and all that's uncertain
And throw them behind us
I won't say goodbye

Better for us to forget the hour
To hope for forever, to give up the world
And lately a veil surrounds us
Where time is everything and nothing
With it's great distance and divide
We'll be apart
I'm not ready to lose you
I'll never be ready to lose you
Track Name: End
Wait for me by the door
Come in and be warm for a while
Sleep there safe from the world
But I can't be here all the time

And now you lay outside alone
Quiet and still forever
There on the ground that you called home
Is all that I can remember
