about

Two chords, three drum kits and a "stag wrestling" guitar solo. When I worked with Ray Weston on his solo album I liked the image he had of a halo and what it could represent. For me the halo was memory and solitary nights lying in bed looking into and through the grey of my bedroom. Color: yellow

lyrics

When you feel the breaking of an undertaking
Then you’ll hear the song inside
With your world ending and your heart pretending
Then you’ll hear the song inside

Sometimes the earth doesn’t move
And sometimes the stars don’t fall
Sometimes a stillness can swallow you
And make you feel alone and small

Every time the song will find you
Coming back it will remind you
Of ghosts that flash at the edge of your sight
Like halos shifting they fade and burn bright through it all
