about

Most of the songs were written between March 2005 and April 2006. This was one of them. There's a nice Supertramp vibe in this with a splash of Sufjan Stevens. I wanted to do fades on a lot of these endings but. I didn't. The rawness of the endings seemed more poignant than a fade. Lots of interesting accidents happened. Color: green

lyrics

I saw forever in you
For you it was right then wrong
We were permanent like a tattoo that fades an indistinct blue

I saw forever in you
You dreamed of summers, warm sighs of content
But you were left alone at the bottom of a sea
Then you slowly drifted away from things we did and didn't say
I dreamed of summers with you

If she could be who she wanted
If she could know what she wanted
Then everything would be all right
But it takes a little time
For everything to work out right
But it takes so much time
You've got to give her what she's wanting
So let her go

If she could be just what she wanted
If you could be just what she wants
I saw forever in you
I saw forever....
